    <content type="html">I woke up at 8a.m from the worst sleep. I dropped the book I was reading on my back on my face (Damn it, de Kooning collected works!) and then in the middle of the night, I must have got my foot tangled around my lamp wire, as the lamp, Marlowe's Complete Plays and Assassin's Apprentice fell onto me. Marlowe hit my right in the neck, I can't even begin to tell you how much it hurt!&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's now pretty hard to think of vampires as being all romantic when&amp;nbsp;I think about how much it hurt, the corner of a book slamming into my neck, let alone the crushing power of a set of supernatural jaws.</content>

    <content type="html">&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaskan_Klee_Kai"&gt;American&amp;nbsp;Klee Kai!&lt;/a&gt; They are ADORABLE AND SMALL AND EFSAHKJGFSDHJGFDSHJBGFSDHJB&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;It is worth the wait to get one of &lt;a href="http://wearwithstyle.com/hat5.html"&gt;these hats&lt;/a&gt;, they are really, really comfortable, and the colours are NOT as bright as in the picture - they are in reality a much more toned down earthy momma' Jayne colour. I waited FOREVER to get mine, but when&amp;nbsp;I did I'd forgotten about it so it was a fabulous surprise! Added bonus is that it didn't get shipped with the corpse of my warbuddy.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Flatmate R. has been causing TROUBLES, y'all.&amp;nbsp;I wouldn't mind her near constant crazy if she didn't keep thrusting it on us. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;I'm behind in one class, ahead in another? I wish it evened out but life doesn't work like that&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;PRETTY SURE I HAVE A CRUSH ON A TEACHER. HE IS 50, ALSO ADORABLE.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;I also have a crush on Stephin Merrit, pretty hard. It's better because Stephin&amp;nbsp;Merrit doesn't walk into a room I'm drawing in, say something nice about my work then leave me biting my hand from trying to not say something dumb. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;I miss my home, I miss my dog, I miss having a room that retains heat.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</content>

Please read below.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;a name="cutid1"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;Prime Minister: 2009 has been a year of deep reflection &amp;ldquo; a chance for&lt;br /&gt;Britain, as a nation, to commemorate the profound debts we owe to those who&lt;br /&gt;came before. A unique combination of anniversaries and events have stirred&lt;br /&gt;in us that sense of pride and gratitude which characterise the British&lt;br /&gt;experience. Earlier this year I stood with Presidents Sarkozy and Obama to&lt;br /&gt;honour the service and the sacrifice of the heroes who stormed the beaches&lt;br /&gt;of Normandy 65 years ago. And just last week, we marked the 70 years which&lt;br /&gt;have passed since the British government declared its willingness to take&lt;br /&gt;up arms against Fascism and declared the outbreak of World War Two. So I am&lt;br /&gt;both pleased and proud that, thanks to a coalition of computer scientists,&lt;br /&gt;historians and LGBT activists, we have this year a chance to mark and&lt;br /&gt;celebrate another contribution to Britain's fight against the darkness of&lt;br /&gt;dictatorship; that of code-breaker Alan Turing.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Turing was a quite brilliant mathematician, most famous for his work on&lt;br /&gt;breaking the German Enigma codes. It is no exaggeration to say that,&lt;br /&gt;without his outstanding contribution, the history of World War Two could&lt;br /&gt;well have been very different. He truly was one of those individuals we can&lt;br /&gt;point to whose unique contribution helped to turn the tide of war. The debt&lt;br /&gt;of gratitude he is owed makes it all the more horrifying, therefore, that&lt;br /&gt;he was treated so inhumanely. In 1952, he was convicted of &amp;tilde;gross&lt;br /&gt;indecency&amp;ldquo; in effect, tried for being gay. His sentence&amp;ldquo; and he&lt;br /&gt;was faced with the miserable choice of this or prison - was chemical&lt;br /&gt;castration by a series of injections of female hormones. He took his own&lt;br /&gt;life just two years later.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Thousands of people have come together to demand justice for Alan Turing&lt;br /&gt;and recognition of the appalling way he was treated. While Turing was dealt&lt;br /&gt;with under the law of the time and we can't put the clock back, his&lt;br /&gt;treatment was of course utterly unfair and I am pleased to have the chance&lt;br /&gt;to say how deeply sorry I and we all are for what happened to him. Alan and&lt;br /&gt;the many thousands of other gay men who were convicted as he was convicted&lt;br /&gt;under homophobic laws were treated terribly. Over the years millions more&lt;br /&gt;lived in fear of conviction.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;I am proud that those days are gone and that in the last 12 years this&lt;br /&gt;government has done so much to make life fairer and more equal for our LGBT&lt;br /&gt;community. This recognition of Alans status as one of Britains most&lt;br /&gt;famous victims of homophobia is another step towards equality and long&lt;br /&gt;overdue.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;But even more than that, Alan deserves recognition for his contribution to&lt;br /&gt;humankind. For those of us born after 1945, into a Europe which is united,&lt;br /&gt;democratic and at peace, it is hard to imagine that our continent was once&lt;br /&gt;the theatre of mankinds darkest hour. It is difficult to believe that in&lt;br /&gt;living memory, people could become so consumed by hate&amp;ldquo; by&lt;br /&gt;anti-Semitism, by homophobia, by xenophobia and other murderous prejudices&amp;ldquo; &lt;br /&gt;that the gas chambers and crematoria became a piece of the European&lt;br /&gt;landscape as surely as the galleries and universities and concert halls&lt;br /&gt;which had marked out the European civilisation for hundreds of years.     <content type="html">Russia is amazing, so far at least. The police carry AK's and it's funny to watch how people still argue with them and whatnot, they're a little full of themselves. The weather is intense! Proper hot, hit 28 degree's today at 6p,m &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That's another thing, the sun. Because the sun sets at 1a.m and rises at 3a.m, what we'd consider midday hottest, in St. Petersburg it's about 7 in the evening when the sun is hottest. It makes you push yourself to walk and stay out longer, and you come home absolutely knackered. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Vodka is way cheaper then I ever though it'd be. Whiskey is 3 times the price it is at home. Bought some hobo vodka to try, I&amp;nbsp;imagine it'll strip my teeth. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Had a really funny conversation with a woman whose going to university in Moscow next September, the impression they have of England is that we're really unclean, lol! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;quot;We had Banya's and showers and cleanliness for hundreds of years, did you not have baths of water until a year years back?&amp;quot; I GUESS, OLGA. I just remember how dad's funeral played out. The nearest I had to deal with was a local newspaper taking my photograph as I walked behind the coffin, I didn't have 17,000 people shouting and cheering at me in my grief.</content>

    <content type="html">WITH ALL THE MICHAEL JACKSON SADDNESS I FORGOT TO MENTION SOMETHING.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The guitarist out of the Maccabees bought one of my t-shirts! 8D ONE OF THE WHITE BROTHERS OR SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW. Tim was wearing it hanging around this bonfire and he bought it off him. I AM GOING TO BE WATCHING FOR EVERY IMAGE OF HIM TO SEE IT. What's really stupid is that I don't have a website or jack so they can't become the NEW HIPSTER SENSATION. Next time my brother sells my artwork to band he needs to make them write down my e-mail address. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(The guitarist was a right dick, apprently. He did a bushel of coke, stood up, wobbled, then spent the rest of the night staring at my brothers girlfriend like she was the reason behind human suffering)</content>

    <content type="html">First things first:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fuck, man. Michael Jackson being dead. When I was a kid I loved him; I used to play&amp;nbsp;Heal the World over and over, this crappy tape that I'd saved up with the 10p a week I got as pocket money. When&amp;nbsp;I was 5 my mum cut my hair because I wouldn't sit still long enough for her to brush it. I had refused up to that point to have it cut, but one day when she was pretending to start brushing it, just SNIP, it was gone. I remember how upset I was, not just because of losing all that hair I had (magnificent mane though it was), but that she'd lie like that. And you know what? I thought fuck that, how amazing did Michael Jackson look with an even bigger 'do then I had, I'd rock it too. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Moonwalker has always been one of my favourite movies. The best bit is when Michael turns into an airplane and flies off. We still have the Moonwalker Sega game. I remember when we were driving down to Plymouth one day and I got so into Black or White that my mum stopped the car until&amp;nbsp;I calmed down. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He was the only musician I was interested in until&amp;nbsp;I&amp;nbsp;was 13. That may not sound like much, but when you have a family who is as obsessed as mine are, it was crazy that I wasn't gushing over some band the moment I sprung from the womb. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I won't say I'm going to miss him. The Michael Jackson I loved had been crushed a fair while ago, as cliche as that sounds, but I really feel for his babies who must be going through hell. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Glastonbury and sorting out this stupid overly complicated Russian visa has left me all blergh.</content>
